The Rijksmuseum is a Dutch National Museum dedicated to arts and history in Amsterdam. When the ten-year renovation project finished it finally reopened in 2013. As Philips was one of the biggest investors, they wanted to celebrate the reopening with a Facebook campaign.
With a mixed team of talented people at Ogilvy & Mather I came up with UI/UX explorations, user flows and different layouts. I designed the final designs and oversaw the developers creating the Facebook Canvas application.
The concept of the Facebook campaign was about showing the smallest details every master painter has put in his amazing artworks. With the use of Philips lights everybody was now able to notice these great details.
Are you able to recognize one of the greatest paintings made in history of the Netherlands by just seeing a small detail of the painting?
The outcome was a user friendly quiz asking which detail was from which painting. The participating Facebook fans could win a Philips LivingColors lamp which smoothly blends in with their interiors and gives it an unique touch.
Let's have a talk and I can show you more details about this project, and answer any questions you may email@example.com
